A close, committed community is part of our mission at the Mandy McGuire Group. Research has proven that strong ties to friends, neighbors and family increases your health and happiness, and can lead to a longer, more fulfilled life.  It can help you Live Where You Love.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of folks in Monroe County, and to that end, we support numerous local charities with many ways.  Here’s a list of some of our favorite local groups, who might be worth your support as well.

Songs 4 Soldiers

Did we see you this past weekend?  We were proud to sponsor this amazing event again this year!  This benefit concert, which is in its seventh year, is an entire weekend of music, food, and friends in Columbia. All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to helping local veterans. It’s a cause that’s dear to us and who doesn’t love a great concert?  See you next year!

BackStoppers

The recent tragedy surrounding Trooper Hopkins has really shown us how amazing our community is.  BackStoppers is a St. Louis based organization that helps families of fallen officers, which is a worthy cause in our book!

Wreaths Across America

This group endeavors to place a wreath on the grave of every fallen soldier in America. During the holiday season every December, they honor the heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We participate by raising money for wreaths and helping to place them at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.

Helping Strays

This organization rescues animals, steps in when a pet must be re-homed, provides the strays with basic healthcare like vaccines as well as training, and works in the community, at schools and other institutions to educate people on bite prevention and responsible pet ownership. They are entirely funded by community donations and rely on volunteers to keep up the care of the animals and facility. Adopt, don’t shop, and give a good home to an animal who needs one! Check out Helping Strays.

Monroe County Helping Hands, Inc.

If you really want to benefit individuals and families in our community, donate to this excellent charity that provides food, clothing, and other resources for those living on the margins in Monroe County. Your generosity supports children by providing clean clothes, school supplies, and food. Your donations are either given for free, or sold for a low price to single moms, underemployed dads, grandparents caring for grandchildren. As the Bible says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” — Proverbs 11:25

Moms on A Mission

Tell this charity what you need or how you can help. Moms on a Mission connects those in need with those looking to pay it forward in our community. They help the homeless, the displaced, foster children and their families, veterans, the disabled, and the elderly. A helping hand is always welcome when you are down. Extending one when you can is a blessing and an act of human generosity.

This is a wonderful place to live and raise a family, and we can make it even better for those in need. We want every person to have a home that is safe and comfortable.Let’s work together for a better community!
